February 25th is the day. Dota Underlords is finally getting its full version and saying goodbye to the beta season. To celebrate, the game gets its fourth Underlord. The king of plunderers ENNO also wants to grab the white tower.
The last of the bunch for the time being
ENNO is a support that can help his team with healing effects and crowd control. The little stealing ball of yarn can be selected in Knockout mode after round 1 and in duos, as well as in normal game mode after round 9. So just like any other Underlord.
Underlords now work a little differently than when they were released. You no longer select abilities manually but are assigned a playing style by the respective Underlord. ENNO chooses between the following two playstyles:
Heal and Helen
This build specializes indirectly supporting your team. With the ability, Dr. ENNOS Soothing Balm poisons enemies and heals allies. ENNO jumps in the air and shoots poison darts at 2-5 enemies within three cells. The arrows deal 15-60 points of damage per instance to enemies hit.
With Schwuppdiwupp! steals the lowest level item from the opposing team from ENNO at the start of the fight. Every time an enemy dies within ENNO's range while carrying a better item than ENNO already has, that new item will be stolen. At the end of the round, however, the original owners get all their items back.
Rabid Fur Ball
ENNO's second build is a bit more aggressive and uses a crowd control effect. Deadly Spin also fires arrows, but these cannot heal allies and only damage the enemy. There are again 2-5 arrows that hit enemies within a radius of three cells. However, the poison in this ability is slightly stronger from the base value. 20-55 damage is distributed here per instance.
The major attack is the interesting thing here. ENNO catches the opposing team with his lasso and carries out the major attack. All trapped enemies take 50-225 physical damage. In addition, they are afflicted with a 5-fold poison effect. They are then lowered onto a random cell of the playing field.
New Effects and General
The poison effect, which you've seen several times in this article, is new to the game. A poisoned unit takes 15 physical damage per second. The healing of the affected unit is reduced for a short time. 10% of incoming healing is negated for 5 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
Some optical errors have also been ironed out with the update. These include, but are not limited to, Underlords lighting and texture glitches on mobile devices. The cardboard comrade had to take off his Santa hat. #PappGate.
A few things have also been fixed in the gameplay. Jull's huge barrels thrown from the edge of the screen no longer shatter on the tiny spiderlings activated by the Insect Alliance, but instead continue to roll to the next real enemy.
Hobgen also had his problems with the eight-legged ones. These partially absorbed damages from the Implosion and Shockwave abilities. This error is now also fixed.
Venomancer's Poison Blast now lives up to its name, poisoning enemies hit with the new status effect. The item "Orb of Poison" no longer does normal damage, but also poisons your enemies.
That's it
At least with the beta season. On February 25th the 1.0 version of Dota Underlords will be released. Until then, fewer updates should appear. The developers want to focus on the release of Season 1 and iron out the last few quirks behind the scenes. At the start of the first season, we are also preparing a comprehensive review of our previous Underlords content, so that you can properly dominate the lord list at the start of the full version.
