Who doesn't know it, you sit comfortably in front of your PC in the afternoon and stream your favorite shooter for the Twitch community. One of your animated Twitch Alerts pops up and you've already gained a new subscriber. Then you're probably wondering: How many people are actually watching me right now? Where can I find my Twitch viewer list?

Don't panic, we'll show you how to find and open your Twitch Viewer List in just a few clicks.

1. Open your Twitch stream, you should see stream chat with breaking news on the right side.

2. In the chat window at the top right you will see a profile icon with two little men.

3. Click on the icon to see "The users in the chat".

4. You should now be able to see your current Twitch Viewer List.

This list shows you a list of all accounts that are currently logged into Twitch and are watching your stream. The order of the names is alphabetical and your viewers are divided into further categories.

What are the categories and what do the abbreviations mean?

It's not that difficult, the streamer, i.e. the owner of the channel, is always at the top. After that, if online, the representatives of Twitch will be listed as employees. This is followed by the moderators, i.e. the “securities” of the streamer. The moderators are responsible for ensuring that the rules of conduct are observed in the chat. Next to last are the VIPs, i.e. users who have a special role in the streamer’s community. Last but not least, the users, i.e. the normal users, are displayed in the Twitch viewer list.

Five more hard facts about the Twitch viewership list:

1. In the list you will only see live viewers who are logged into their Twitch account.

2. Users who access a VOD, i.e. a video on demand, in order to be able to rewind the streams, are not displayed.

3. The viewer count may differ from the Twitch viewer list because viewers who do not have an account also appear there.

4. You can use the "Filter" field to search for "Keywords" so you can find a specific user for example.

5. Watch out if you're streaming from your phone! In the Twitch app, you may not see the chat icon. Then you should rather use the browser.

What should I do if I can't see the viewer list?

Don't worry, outdated extensions are probably the culprit.

If the profile icon with the two little men is missing, then you may need an update for your addon version, such as Better Twitch TV. You should also look into the settings and check whether the "Hide Room Selector" item still exists there. If you see the option, just toggle the slider to "off". If the problem still persists, your best bet is to update the program.

Are you streaming with your smartphone? No problem!

What should I do if I'm not sitting at home with my PC with the perfectly configured Twitch Stream Setup, but am streaming on my cell phone on the go?

As mentioned, the app may have trouble displaying the stream viewer list. But there is a simple solution to see the list on your mobile phone:

If you want more information about your streaming career on Twitch, then you should take a look at the so-called channel analysis on Twitch. You can find the channel analysis via the symbol on your dashboard on Twitch under "Statistics" > "Channel Analysis". By default, you see your data for the last 30 days in the channel analysis. You can also set and change the date manually with the right and left arrow keys or by clicking on the date in the middle. The scope of the data that can be displayed is diverse:

You can read everything from the live views to the followers, to the total minutes viewed. All this data is presented to you in a convenient chart form. From left to right, the chart defaults to: your average number of viewers, total views of your live streams, your new followers, your subscribers, and last but not least, your total streaming revenue.

We hope that you can now easily see your viewers on Twitch and have a better insight into the world of Twitch streaming.
